Arsenal fans are currently in unfamiliar territory after they watched their side lose Sunday's north London derby.

The result confirmed that, for the first time in over two decades, Tottenham will finish the season above the Gunners.

A swift second half double salvo from Dele Alli and Harry Kane ensured Spurs kept up the pace Chelsea had set earlier in the day, although their chances of winning the title are getting slimmer by the week.

For Arsene Wenger, though, it is another blow to what was already being considered a disappointing campaign for Arsenal.

Despite having an FA Cup final still to look forward to, their poor Premier League form has mounted even more pressure on the manager's door.

Wenger is expected to sign a new two-year contract extension, however, given the team's inconsistent set of recent results, finding the right time to announce he is staying is proving tricky.

You never expect a manager to be in a positive mood after losing a derby match but Wenger seemed to be in a particularly prickly state of mind immediately after Sunday's 2-0 defeat.

So much so, the Frenchman actually walked out of his post-match interview with Sky Sports while the reporter was asking his final question.

As you can see by skipping to near the end of the video, Wenger had just answered a question about Spurs overtaking Arsenal.

Clearly not too impressed by the Sky journalist's line of questioning, Wenger decided enough was enough and walked out, ignoring the reporter's pleas to ask one more question.

So perhaps Wenger is finally starting to feel the heat.

Even if Arsenal beat Chelsea and win the FA Cup, you get the feeling many of the club's supporters will still want a managerial change to be made.

Until Wenger is able to produce a title-winning side, he should probably expect the critics to be permanently on his back.
