Norwich boss Bryan Gunn believes a positive start to their League One campaign will be crucial to their aspirations of regaining Championship status.
Following their relegation last season, Gunn's men begin life in the third tier against local rivals Colchester on August 8 before facing Exeter and Brentford and he is hoping a healthy crowd and home advantage can help them hit the ground running.
"We're delighted to be starting with a local derby against Colchester at Carrow Road," he told the club's official website. "Hopefully it will be a sell-out and the fans can roar us on to a winning start."
He added: "A good start is vital. We then play all three of the sides promoted from League Two and that will be a good challenge. You would expect those sides to be buoyant coming off the back of successful seasons.
"Our support home and away is going to be a crucial factor for us this season. Our home form needs to improve dramatically and a buzzing Carrow Road will definitely increase the chances of that happening."
