Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko put on a bout for the ages last Saturday when the two heavyweight fighters squared off in front of 90,000 fans inside Wembley Stadium.

Even for the lofty expectations attached to the fight the two men wildly exceeded them to give us what many are calling the greatest heavyweight showdown in recent memory, if not ever.

Joshua would win after an 11th round rampage where he put Dr. Steelhammer down twice leading to the referee intervening before he did a third time.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing for AJ and despite putting Klitschko down at the beginning of the fifth round, Klitschko returned the favour in the sixth and Joshua was on the brink of defeat.

Joshua, now the IBF, IBO and WBA unified world heavyweight champion, called out Tyson Fury directly after the fight and the Gypsy King is another man that has beaten Klitschko.

He had to vacate the titles after encountering drug problems, but now he is training to make a comeback to the ring and has AJ in his sights.

Klitschko had a rematch clause in the contract for his fight with AJ, though, but the new unified champ thinks there are a few reasons he might want to retire instead.

"A rematch will be good, because of the type of fight we had," Joshua told reporters.

"I think he will want to fight again, because a fighter is the last one to know when to stop. But I think the team around him, his (soon to be) wife, because they normally wear the trousers, and his brother might advise him differently."

Joshua said he respected Klitschko and had no qualms about a rematch.

"I have the ultimate respect for him inside and outside of the ring. I wouldn't mind fighting him again if he wants the rematch. It's up to him... So if he'd like to fight again, no problem," Joshua said.
