Following a successful Payback event, RAW put on a main event where three of it's biggest names would collide.
Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and the Miz would all collide in a triple threat match to name the number one contender for Dean Ambrose's Intercontinental Championship.
A new challenger emerges
It all started earlier in the night where Rollins - who 24 hours prior had defeated Samoa Joe at Payback, claimed that he wanted a chance at the Universal Championship, and Brock Lesnar.

He was then confronted by Balor - the first ever Universal Champion who was forced to relinquish the title due to injury.
The Miz would join the conversation shortly before the Intercontinental title holder Ambrose would also come down to the ring.

The four superstars would discuss the future of Ambrose's title with the champion making a special phone call to the RAW General Manager Kurt Angle.
Ambrose would then announce that Angle declared a triple threat match between Rollins, Balor and Miz to decide the new number one contender for the match.
Couldn't win alone
Miz may have emerged victorious form the main event and will now go on to challenge Ambrose for the title, but it took two separate cases of outside interference for him to pick up the win.
It started with Rollins, who was attacked outside the ring by the Destroyer Samoa Joe.
Joe would cost Rollins his chance at the title and another match against his old rival Ambrose.
As for Balor, he would be left in an almost one on one match with Miz and would even have the A Lister where he wanted him as he climbed to the top rope.
While on top of the ropes however, Bray Wyatt's now infamous cut scene would shake the area and he would appear stood on the apron next to Balor.
Pushing Balor from the top rope before delivering Sister Abigail, Wyatt would disappear just as quickly as he arrived.
Miz would take advantage to earn the right to face Ambrose - although no date has been set for their title match.
With just over a month until the next RAW exclusive show Extreme Rules, it is possible that the title match will be set for then or the decision could be made to have their title bout on an episode of RAW before Extreme Rules.
