Mesut Ozil went missing in another high-profile game on Sunday as Arsenal lost to Tottenham Hotspur.
The German is reportedly demanding a £300,000-per-week contract but the Gunners would be better off withdrawing any offer based on Ozil’s efforts in Arsenal’s biggest matches this season.

Jamie Redknapp singled out Ozil for criticism following Arsenal’s 2-0 defeat, questioning the playmaker’s work ethic.
Redknapp's criticism
“When I looked at Ozil compared to [Christian] Eriksen there was such a distinct difference between the two in terms of work ethic and pressing and the amount of times Eriksen won the ball back for his team, but also got involved in open play,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.
"I thought he was fantastic today, Eriksen. I looked on the flip side at what Ozil offered his team when you want a piece of magic or you want someone to unlock the door.
"At times there were passengers and you can't have passengers in these north London derbies.”
Ozil was involved in heated tunnel exchange
Ozil’s frustration boiled over into the tunnel at full-time.
According to the Telegraph, the 28-year-old was involved in a heated exchanged after being nominated to take a drugs test.
Ozil, reportedly unhappy with the number of times he has been ordered to take a drugs test, initially refused.
After being told he could be fined for refusing, the former Real Madrid star kicked a door in anger, leaving stud marks on it.
Ozil eventually decided to go through with the timely procedure.
If only he had shown as much fight on the pitch.
Arsenal's top four hopes were dealt a blow
Arsenal’s defeat in the north London derby, which came via goals from Dele Alli and Harry Kane, put a dent in their hopes of finishing in the top four.
Arsene Wenger’s side sit sixth, six points behind Manchester City.
The defeat prompted Petr Cech to admit that Arsenal’s top four hopes are probably over.
"I feel angry and disappointed because obviously this is not a game we wanted to lose and this is a very big disappointment for us," Arsenal’s goalkeeper said, via the Indepedent.
"It hurts because it was a huge game for both teams. They needed to win to keep their title chances alive. We needed to win to keep our Champions League finishing position [hopes] alive.
"Obviously we are very disappointed because it's a north London derby, it means a lot to the fans and it meant a lot to the club, to us. We needed three points and in the end we have none."
