There’s no denying that Bray Wyatt has fallen well below expectations since arriving on the main roster.

Since moving back down to NXT and wiping the slate clean following his failed run as Husky Harris, he reinvented himself and was a breath of fresh air when debuting as The Eater of Worlds, and then bringing in Erick Rowan and Luke Harper by his side was a stroke of genius.

POTENTIAL

His entertaining run on NXT resulted in a lot of excitement for his arrival and after weeks of mysterious vignettes, he debuted on Monday Night RAW and targeted Kane.

However, after multiple potentially entertaining feuds and matches he’s managed one relatively short reign as WWE Champion; one he won at the Elimination Chamber event in February and then lost to Randy Orton at WrestleMania 33 on April 2.

The potential to create a mega-star for the future was there, but it seems we’ve crossed that bridge now as he’s suffered from terrible booking and it doesn’t seem like anything could salvage his career to make him the WWE’s biggest star, or at least have fans taking him seriously again.

A fan has created a compilation video of Wyatt which shows his entertaining, spooky promos – and the important losses he’s suffered from said feud.

RUINED

Wyatt’s most entertaining rivalry is perhaps one he had with John Cena, and the potential of defeating WWE’s biggest star on their grandest stage would have catapulted him into stardom.

It looked like that’s the way we were heading, as his promo work was nothing short of incredible and in the video Wyatt claimed he’d take everything away from Cena – only to be hit by an Attitude Adjustment and then lose.

Another promo saw Wyatt claim 29 other men inside the Royal Rumble would fall after hyping up his chances, and the edit saw him easily eliminated from the Rumble by The Big Show and Kane, which was eventually won by Roman Reigns.

The trend has continued, ranging from The Undertaker to The Big Dog and Kane, and even The Viper at WrestleMania.

He may have finally come out on top in his House of Horrors match against Orton but even then, it took The Singh Brothers and Jinder Mahal to put the final nail in the coffin to help Wyatt to victory.

He’s been misused, and his feuds are now predictable as he’ll continue to talk up his chances and spook his opponents, yet he always loses in the matches that matter the most.

It must be frustrating being a Wyatt fan after watching him suffer from these horrible booking decisions, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see the pattern continue when he battles Finn Balor.

It’s about maintaining the legitimacy as a heel, even when he loses.

He lost that a long time ago, and it’s going to take some doing for fans to consider him a serious threat again.
