When a new manager arrives at a club, they usually bring with them a long list of rules and regulations for the players and staff. These can range from certain foods and drink that is forbidden to what activities they can do on their days off. While the majority of these rules are implemented immediately after a new boss arrives, it can sometimes take several months for a manager to decide on a specific rule for his new club. That is the case for Jose Mourinho who, after being in charge of Manchester United 10 months, has just created a new rule.According to the Independent, Mourinho has instigated a crackdown on United players using social media. The ‘Special One’ is reported to be annoyed with how his players use the likes of Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat and Instagram due to the amount of information they make public.Mourinho is understood to want to limit the information coming out of the club and wants the team to be fully concentrated on the upcoming match. As a result, the players have been told that the club doesn’t want them to post anything on social media from 48 hours leading up to a game - especially from the team bus on the way to games. So, if the new ban is in place, United players were restricted from posting anything from 19:45 on Tuesday night ahead of their Europa League semi-final against Celta Vigo on Thursday. But someone didn’t tell Eric Bailly, it seems. The defender uploaded a video of teammate Juan Mata dancing with a football on his Instagram Story inside that 48-hour time-limit.

Mourinho’s anger with social media posts stems back to November when Luke Shaw posted footage of himself training at home.

Mourinho believed that Shaw was painting the club in a bad light, suggesting that the club weren’t doing their job to get the player fully fit.

Once again, it’s all Luke Shaw’s fault.

Whether Bailly will be punished by Mourinho’s strict new rule remains to be seen.
