Ahead of any big boxing fight, there is usually the trash talk.

Both boxers will explain how they’re going to triumph and predict what they’re doing to do to each other.

While this usually helps to hype up the fight, one boxer is usually looking rather silly after being defeated.

That was the case for David Haye earlier this year when he promised to put Tony Bellew in hospital with a “showreel knockout”.

However, it was Haye heading to hospital after the fight when he injured his Achilles during his defeat.

But Haye certainly isn’t on his own in promising to win in style, only to be lying on the canvas come fight night.

A video has emerged of what Anthony Joshua’s opponents say before they face him.

The brilliant clip shows Dominic Breazeale, Charles Martin and Dillian Whyte before they fight Joshua, confidently predicting their victory.

It then shows them getting knocked out by the Brit before showing their post-fight interview - where their confidence has been replaced with the shock of loss.

Take a look:

The best one is surely Martin who claims he “walks this earth like a God” during ‘The Gloves Are Off’ with Joshua.

After Joshua floors him twice, Martin wasn’t quite so arrogant.

Whilst stuttering, Martin said: “I was quite comfortable, he just had a fast right hand that he caught me with. He was the better man.”

As for Wladimir Klitschko, the legendary Ukranian had too much class to get involved in trash talking Joshua. Instead, the pair were very respectful of one another ahead of their fight.

Maybe Klitschko had learned the lesson of Joshua’s previous opponents.
