Anthony Joshua versus Wladimir Klitschko was entertaining, exciting and clinical heavyweight boxing at it’s best. A bout worth watching. Joseph Parker versus Răzvan Cojanu, well let’s just say, wasn’t. The fight was sluggish, short of real action and went to a points decision.Although Parker's original opponent Hughie Fury withdrew less than three weeks ago, the Romanian Cojanu was billed as a handy replacement. Sadly, it did not mean we got a fight of the ages. There were some early promising exchanges in the first round with the Romanian Cojanu towering over his New Zealand opponent, however, it proved to be little more than false hope.Throughout the clash, Cojanu was taunting Parker to hit him but the home favourite was unable to deal any significant blows in response. In round four, there was a points deduction for Cojanu for putting his hand on Parker’s neck before he was warned again by the referee as he tried again and the WBO champion did seem to be put off his stride and irritated as a result.By the time the fight reached round twelve, Joseph Parker’s trainer, Kevin Barry had told him to keep composure as he was winning on points. A little frenzy of punches ended the final round but that was as exciting as it could get. I know, it’s even dull reading it, isn’t it?  And this fight would not have given Joseph Parker the confidence to move forward with his plans to take on Anthony Joshua or his proposal to fight Tony Bellew.Twitter was not impressed. Parker has been talked up as a potential future opponent for Anthony Joshua and Tony Bellew and fans were in little doubt how he would fare up against either of them. Here are the best tweets:

Dillian Whyte, another potential opponent watched on from the Sky Studio, was another not bowled over by Parker's latest win and called him out on Twitter afterwards.

It’s hardly surprising the backlash that Joseph Parker is facing at the moment. This is a boxer who has a great record and wants to step into the ring with some of the elite fighters in his division.

Points definitely won’t win prizes against the likes of Joshua or Bellew.
