Burton in keeper hunt

Published Add your comment

Football League newcomers Burton are in the hunt for a goalkeeper to challenge veteran Kevin Poole for the number one jersey at the Pirelli Stadium.

Burton manager Paul Peschisolido has missed out on one target, but soon expects to fill the role.

He said: "We will be bringing in a young keeper and it is superb that he will have a role model like Kevin - but the pair of them will have to fight it out for a place in the team."

He added: "I had one in mind but he decided to join a Championship club, even though he might have to settle for being number two or three there.

"But I am speaking to other people and I don't anticipate that finding the right man will be a problem."
