Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson and his backroom staff have signed new four-year deals at the club.

Ferguson has been linked with a host of jobs this summer but has now committed his future to the newly-promoted Championship side.

Assistant manager Kevin Russell, goalkeeping coach Andy Dibble, physio Keith Oakes and strength and conditioning coach Scott Taylor have also agreed new contracts.

Ferguson told the club`s official website, "I am absolutely delighted. I spoke with the chairman and we talked about a lot of things.

"We knew we would discuss the contract and not only that, it was important that my staff were rewarded for their efforts. We are all delighted, they are exciting times at this football club.

"I have always said I am happy here, I have said before that I believe there is unfinished business here and the aim now is to try and get into the Premier League. Everybody has put a lot of hard work into the club, the chairman has spent a lot of money and gave me my chance in management. It was then up to me to be successful and that is the way it has gone."
