Douglas makes Swindon move

Swindon boss Danny Wilson has made midfielder Jonathan Douglas his fourth signing of the summer.

The 27-year-old arrives at the County Ground following his release by Leeds at the end of last season and adds some steel and experience to the heart of the Robins' midfield.

Having been made a free agent this summer, the former Republic of Ireland international has opted to link up with Wilson at Swindon and joins fellow new summer arrivals Gordon Greer, Alan O'Brien and former Leeds team-mate David Lucas.

Douglas started his career in Ireland before moving to Blackburn in 2000, where he enjoyed six-year spell with loan stays at Chesterfield, Blackpool, Gillingham and Leeds in the process.

In 2006 he secured a permanent switch to Elland Road, where he made over 100 appearances in his three years at the club, including over 50 last season.
