Bristol City manager Gary Johnson hailed his side's pre-season training camp in Portugal as a major success.
The Robins spent a week in the heat of the Algarve as they prepare for the new Championship season and Johnson was pleased with his players' efforts.
He told the club's official website: "It's been great to get away and really concentrate on some intense fitness training."
He added: "The facilities have been excellent out here, as has the food. We've worked the lads really hard.
"Of course we are not there yet and we've still got plenty to do, but we start back by playing against Hereford on Monday."
