Emmanuel Adebayor was omitted from Arsenal's squad for Saturday's pre-season friendly against Barnet.

The Gunners are reported to have accepted a £25million offer for Adebayor from Manchester City, who are discussing personal terms with the Togo striker, with reports on Saturday afternoon claiming he is undergoing a medical at Eastlands.

Tomas Rosicky was included in the starting line-up for his first Arsenal appearance since January 2008 following his recovery from serious hamstring and knee injuries.

The Czech winger was joined by Thomas Vermaelen, who made his Gunners debut after agreeing a £10million move from Ajax.
