Blackpool manager Ian Holloway claims he will withdraw his offer for Rangers midfielder Charlie Adam on Monday - should the player not respond to a contract offer.
The Seasiders had a £500,000 offer accepted for the 23-year-old two weeks ago, before offering him a deal last week but the player is on a pre-season tour with current club Rangers - and has yet to contact the Championship side.
Holloway told The Blackpool Gazette: "I'll give him until Monday morning, then we'll have to rip up the offer we've made him."
He added: "I've never waited this long for anyone before but I believe he's a talent. We need him and he needs us.
"But if the deal isn't done by the beginning of next week we will have to move on."
