Norwich have rejected an offer from Burnley for midfielder Darel Russell.
Clarets boss Owen Coyle is a big admirer of the 29-year-old, who has been linked with a move away from Carrow Road all summer following their relegation to League One.
Burnley are believed to have bid around £500,000 for Russell having reportedly offered the Canaries £750,000 12 months ago.
Norwich boss Bryan Gunn told the Eastern Daily Press: "We received a bid from Burnley last week which we turned down and obviously Burnley at the moment are considering the situation.
"They are on the other side of the world in America but there is an opportunity for them, if they want, to come back to us and make an improved offer."
