Stern John has joined Coca-Cola Championship side Crystal Palace on a one-year deal after leaving Southampton, the striker has told the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation.
John rejected Saints' offer of a new contract and left St Mary's earlier this week - although the signing has yet to be confirmed by the Eagles.
"I'm delighted to have signed for Crystal Palace," the 32-year-old told the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation's official website.
"It's another move for me at a new club. It's a new challenge for me and one that I'm definitely looking forward to," he added.
John, who has had spells at Nottingham Forest, Birmingham, Coventry, Derby, Sunderland and Bristol City, is expected to complete the move once he has passed a medical.
