Perch blow for Forest

Published Add your comment

Nottingham Forest have been dealt a blow ahead of the new Championship season with the news captain James Perch faces three months out with a broken bone in his shin.

The defender has been nursing a shin problem since the closing stages of last season but scans have shown it to be a stress fracture of the tibia.

"We knew James was suffering from bone stress but it takes a certain length of time for stress fractures to show up on scans," head physio Andrew Balderston said. "Unfortunately, our fears have been confirmed and James has a stress fracture that will keep him out for three months."
