Cummings makes Royals switch

Reading have confirmed the signing of Chelsea defender Shaun Cummings for an undisclosed fee.

The 20-year-old right-back signed all the necessary paperwork before Tuesday's 5pm transfer deadline and will end his current loan spell at West Brom to sign a three-year deal at the Madejski Stadium.

Manager Brendan Rodgers said: "Shaun is a modern day full-back, a good defender who wants to go forward and is very athletic."

He added: "I'm excited to have him. He worked closely with me at Chelsea, he developed there and then had a really successful loan spell with the MK Dons last season."
