Hartlepool continued their fine away form as Oldham set an unwanted record at Boundary Park following a 3-0 defeat.

The Latics have now gone 10 home league games without a win - their worst run for 89 years - and they were comprehensively sunk by goals from James Brown, Leon McSweeney and Denis Behan.

A second-half hat-trick from striker Lee Barnard gave Southend their first league win of the season as they beat Leyton Orient 3-0 at Roots Hall.
