Watford boss Malky Mackay is hopeful loan stars Henri Lansbury and Tom Cleverley will opt to extend their stints at Vicarage Road.

Arsenal teenager Lansbury and Manchester United rookie Cleverley have already made a big impression with the Hornets and Mackay feels both may be happy to stay on after their initial loan spells end in January.

"I think both are feeling that they would like to be here longer term, in terms of being here for the rest of the season," said the Scot.

"Both are thoroughly enjoying being here and being at training every day and being part of the group and the atmosphere, they already feel a part of it."
