Watford striker Heidar Helguson will this week undergo another scan to determine the extent of his calf injury.

The QPR loanee was forced to sit out Saturday's 1-1 draw at Reading after suffering the injury towards the end of his second Hornets debut, the 3-3 draw against Leicester the previous weekend.

"We are going to have another scan," said boss Malky Mackay. "We didn't like the reaction we saw on Saturday morning and that being the case there will be another scan done on him, so I doubt there will be any chance of Heidar playing this week."

Helguson is therefore set to miss Tuesday night's visit of Coventry.
