Chesterfield are set to sign defender Mark Little on a month's emergency loan from Wolves.

The 21-year-old right-back, a product of the Premier League club's youth system, is expected to be named in John Sheridan's squad for Tuesday night's Johnstone's Paint Trophy game against Huddersfield at Saltergate.

Sheridan said: "Mark brings more pace into the side and healthy competition, which brings the best out of the squad."

Little has made his first-team debut for Wolves and has been capped by England at U17, U18 and U19 levels.

He has had two loan spells with Northampton in the last two seasons.
