Carter: North End will be firing

Preston midfielder Darren Carter believes his side will be raring to go when they return from the international break.

North End's next outing is away at QPR on Saturday week, followed swiftly by another tough trip to Sheffield Wednesday three days later. But Carter is confident his side can rise to the challenge after grinding out a hard-earned point at home to West Brom last weekend.

"It was nice to finish with a solid performance," he said. "We come back and we`ve got two tough away games, QPR and Sheffield Wednesday, which we'll be ready for."
