Chris Sutton vowed to 'keep a lid on things' after maintaining his perfect start as Lincoln manager with a 1-0 win at Macclesfield.
Sutton began his reign last weekend by beating Aldershot by the same score at Sincil Bank. Rene Howe's 68th-minute penalty ensured it was two wins out of two for the former Norwich, Blackburn, Chelsea and Celtic striker.
"I'm obviously happy with two wins but we've got to keep a lid on things. We are still a long way from where we want to be," said Sutton.
"But that said, since I've been here the boys have given me absolutely everything they've got."
He added: "In the first half we weren't very impressive at all and made some very poor decisions but we looked much more organised after the break, far more resilient and we did open them up a couple of times.
"When you're 1-0 up you're always going to come under pressure in the closing stages but we fought hard."
