If current speculation is anything to go by, Ed Woodward is in for a busy few weeks at Manchester United. The Red Devils have already confirmed the signings of Victor Lindelof and Romelu Lukaku but Jose Mourinho isn’t going to stop at the £100 million spending tally. In fact, it seems as though he’s only just starting.Reports suggest that Woodward hasn’t travelled with the squad for their pre-season tour to the US because he's sorting out deals for both Ivan Perisic and Eric Dier. Those two will cost around £95 million, taking the spending spree in excess of £200 million.Of course, there are bound to be departures from Old Trafford this summer to help raise funds.Wayne Rooney has left and Adnan Januzaj is set to follow him out of the door. But what about David de Gea?The Spanish goalkeeper has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and only late paperwork foiled his move to the Bernabeu in 2015.This summer, Madrid were expected to come back in for the 26-year-old but, so far, it’s been rather quiet on that front. But what does De Gea think of a move to Madrid this summer?Well, according to ESPN’s Rob Dawson, he’s very keen. However, there’s a problem as far as his dream move is concerned. United have insisted De Gea is not for sale and the ‘keeper himself won’t force through a move.

De Gea wants Madrid move

“United have always been pretty certain that he wouldn’t be sold,” Dawson wrote.

“He’s one of their stars, he’s under contract, there’s no need to sell him

“The difficulty is that David has always had a dream to play for Real Madrid, he’s made that quite clear to Jose.

“The one thing about David is he’s not the type to push for a deal. There are players who would threaten to go on strike and say they weren’t going to play.

“That’s not really David de Gea at all. If he’s not allowed to go, he won’t.”

So nothing to worry about then for United, it seems.

It doesn’t sound as though De Gea would force through a move no matter how much Madrid want him and the Red Devils are in no position to sell him.

However, if De Gea was to leave the club, United wouldn’t move to replace him.

That’s according to Pilib de Brun - radio host on NBCSports and talksport - who tweeted that Mourinho would be happy with Sergio Romero and Joel Pereira if De Gea left for Madrid - as well as claiming Perisic will arrive this week.

We get the impression another De Gea and Madrid saga could re-ignite once again this summer.
