After months of unprecedented hype and hope, Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather were finally able to come to an agreement over a much-anticipated bout. The "super-fight", as it is being referred to, is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on the August 26 and it seems the world can not wait. The press tour got under way this week and the reaction has been completely insane.Never has the world stood still for a simple press conference the way it has on two occasions this week. First off, a fiery encounter in Los Angeles was followed by an unapologetic meeting in Toronto. Both men have held nothing back, trading verbal jab after verbal jab in several expletive-laced rants.McGregor has chosen to zero in on rumours regarding Mayweather's reported tax evasion and in Toronto had the unusually large crowd on his side as they chanted in the Irishman's favour.McGregor also took aim at Showtime, who he believes turned off his microphone during the first heated press conference in Los Angeles, calling Showtimes Stephen Espinoza a "bitch" and a "weasel."Despite the hostile crowd and an unrelenting McGregor, Mayweather was unphased, reminding McGregor that the fans can not fight for him, while also going on to point out Mcgregor's career losses - which include a tap out. "We already know this bitch right here, he likes to quit," said Mayweather before donning an Irish flag."Real killers don't quit."However, it was some of the off-the-mic comments that really caught the public's attention as the two fighters squared up face-to-face. Mayweather held nothing back and he ranted and raved full in the face of McGregor, saying: "You a hoe. You a hoe. Dana White's your boss" on several occasions.

Whatever you might think of the whole press tour and incredibly bitter conferences, there is no doubt that the verbal tete-a-tete has ramped up the hype surrounding this fight to level higher than anything boxing has experienced before.

The press tour will come to a close on Thursday at the SSE Arena in London.
