Lonzo Ball had an excellent game for the Los Angeles Lakers in the summer league last night against the Philadelphia 76ers as he wasn't far off earning a triple-double.Ball had 36 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, five steals, and two blocks in the Lakers 103-102 win against the Sixers, although he did commit six turnovers. Twenty-eight of Lonzo's 36 points came in the second half. However, eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed one major difference about the rookie guard on Wednesday night, as he wasn't wearing his Big Baller Brand ZO2 Primes.Instead of wearing his signature $495 ZO2 Primes, Ball was wearing a purple pair of Nike Kobe ADs. It's fair to say the switch paid off for him as he helped Los Angeles earn a victory against Philadelphia.

LeBron James certainly noticed Lonzo wasn't wearing his usual pair of shoes on the court last night.

As for why he wasn't wearing Big Baller Brand, Lonzo said, according to Lakers beat reporter Mike Trudell, that if you’re with the BBB, you can wear whatever you want. “Mamba mentality,” he said.

The Kobes helped Lonzo become the first player since 2004 to have a performance of at least 30 points and 10 assists in a summer league game. He looked confident all over the court, making 12-of-22 FGs, 3-of-10 threes, and 9-of-12 FTs.

Ball's sore groin stopped him from performing for the Lakers on Monday night against the Sacramento Kings, but hopefully, this won't stop him playing against the Cleveland Cavaliers later today.

Nevertheless, Lonzo was still very impressive on Wednesday night, notching a double-double, and it's something which Lakers fans should be excited about for next season. Based on how he played Wednesday, Ball may want to stick with the Kobes for the time being.

Lakers fans will be hoping that this will be the first of many great performances from Lonzo.
