Daley delight at deal

Luke Daley believes his contract extension with Norwich is just reward for the hard work he has been putting in.

The 19-year-old's deal was due to run out at the end of the season but has now been extended until 2012.

"It's brilliant," he told the club's official website. "I knew that coming to the end of this season would be the end of my current contract so I knew I had to work hard."

He added: "I've been putting the work in during training and got some starts, made a few appearances and impressed the boss and I'm grateful I've been given a second pro contract.

"Now my objective is fixing myself into a permanent position in the starting XI.

"It's good to be in and around the squad but I want to keep developing and bettering myself as a player."
