Whitaker wants run to continue

Midfielder Danny Whitaker sees no reason why Oldham cannot extend their unbeaten run to six games when Southampton visit Boundary Park on Saturday.

The Latics have won three and drawn two of their last five League One outings, despite a tough run of games which saw them face MK Dons and Charlton.

"They (Southampton) are another massive team," said Whitaker. "We don't have problems with the big teams in this division and we're now confident, after being unbeaten in five games, that we can win on Saturday."
