It was always going to be a bold move whenever it happened, but WWE finally decided to pull the trigger on the once-popular tag team of Enzo Amore and Big Cass.

The two reached levels of popularity on NXT that was never seen before, and it was to such an extent that they didn’t even need the NXT tag team championships to solidify themselves as the best team around.

HEEL TURN

Unfortunately for them, the main roster fans weren’t as receptive to their shenanigans as their start to life on Monday Night RAW was incredible, but the repeated act quickly grew old and there was no way a RAW tag team title win was going to save them.

Instead, Big Cass got rid of the monkey on his back by defeating Enzo at the RAW-exclusive Great Balls of Fire event, and it looks like their feud is now over with the seven-foot giant now making an enemy in The Big Show.

It’s expected that the two will meet at SummerSlam, while Big Cass has already hinted that he’ll be in the Universal Championship picture soon too.

That’s not something the majority of fans can take seriously, as it’s obvious that Enzo has masked the flaws while they were together.

Although, now the hard work begins as he aims to become a genuine monster by himself, without a charismatic Enzo by his side and considering he looks like a star Vince McMahon would love, it can’t be ruled out that he’ll be a big player on the red brand soon.

AUSTIN'S ADVICE

It’s a sink or swim situation now heading into SummerSlam, and Stone Cold Steve Austin has offered some crucial advice to the big man on how to become a serious threat, and not just be another big man on the roster.

Speaking on his podcast, he offered advice to both Roman Reigns and Big Cass, saying: “All he has to do is good, solid work.

“Don’t fly like a cruiserweight. Don’t worry about taking the big bumps. Just work logic. Be mean. Be vicious. Sell when it’s your time to sell. Don’t turn into super coward mode. Don’t oversell. Just sell. And learn.

“And sometimes when you’re working a guy that’s smaller than you, register and if they get you into sell mode, then you sell, but be vicious in your heat. Good luck to Big Cass. Good luck to both of them.”

Cass hasn’t had many moments to shine by himself, and taking this advice from Austin on board will hopefully put him in the same bracket as Braun Strowman and Baron Corbin.
