If you’re talking about a WWE superstar that has been criminally misused since debuting on the main roster, it’s difficult to look past Bray Wyatt.

While he does have one WWE Championship reign under his belt, there wasn’t much time for celebration as The Eater of Worlds reigned supreme inside of the Elimination Chamber, but surrendered the gold to Randy Orton towards the end of their underwhelming feud at WrestleMania 33.

LOST IN THE SHUFFLE

That’s pretty much the story of Wyatt’s WWE career.

Eating a Punt Kick to the head, courtesy of The Viper, was a brilliant decision as Husky Harris went back down to developmental and created the Wyatt character we know today.

It was something different, and fans loved it when he brought Erick Rowan and Luke Harper along for the ride.

He talks a good game, but the crucial match in every feud never seems to go his way and that’s why fans can never take him seriously, so you can’t blame fans for thinking WWE has ruined him and that he’ll never cement his place at the top, as opposed to dipping in and out of major feuds.

However, according to a new rumour from Cageside Seats, Wyatt’s fans may have some cause for celebration later this year. The source is suggesting that WWE is planning to insert Wyatt into a main event programme towards the end of 2017.

MAIN EVENT FEUD

Who that could be against remains to be seen, but it’s certainly good news to hear that the company hasn’t completely given up on him in the main event scene since moving from SmackDown LIVE to Monday Night RAW during the superstar shake-up.

Rumours are indicating that Wyatt could finally get his feud with Finn Balor underway, in time for a match at SummerSlam, so he can probably be ruled out.

One big name that could be involved is Brock Lesnar, as The Beast Incarnate is expected to remain Universal Champion until WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans next year where he’s set to do battle against Roman Reigns.

If that’s the case, then Lesnar will need some huge opponents to fill time up until then, and we never really got to see a full-blown feud between the pair.

Plus, when you throw Paul Heyman into the mix, that could be gold.

Regardless of the direction WWE goes, fans will be sceptical on whether he’ll be successful or not, as history tells us the build-up will be fantastic, but he’d probably lose the crucial match.
