Chelsea have finally got their man. After weeks of fairly intense speculation, the Blues announced the arrival of Tiemoue Bakayoko from Monaco on a five-year deal on Saturday evening. The fee is thought to be in the region of £40 million and the 22-year-old becomes Antonio Conte's third major signing of the summer. The new Chelsea star told the club's official website: "I am very happy to be here and to join this great team. I have grown up watching Chelsea. Signing was the natural thing for me because it is a club I loved very much in my childhood."I am now looking forward to evolving under this fantastic coach and alongside so many great team-mates."Chelsea's technical director, Michael Emenalo, added: "Tiemoue was outstanding as Monaco emerged as one of Europe’s best sides last season and we are delighted to welcome him to Chelsea."Despite his young age he already has plenty of experience as a French title winner and having competed in the latter stages of the Champions League, we believe he will add considerable quality to our squad."Of course, this move hasn't exactly come as a surprise. Various rumours and images of the French midfielder being spotted in and around London earlier this week suggested negotiations were approaching the latter stages.

And Michy Batshuayi was as eager as the rest of us to find out what was happening when he got into a cheeky Twitter exchange with Bakayoko on Thursday night.

It wasn't the first time Batshuayi has tried to act on the fans' behalf to attempt to get the insider gossip and it's unlikely to be the last.

Nevertheless, the move has finally gone through and Bakayoko has reacted to the move on Twitter.

The 22-year-old's first post was a relatively straight-forward tweet: "#BakasBlue" accompanied with an image of him donning his new shirt.

But he dedicated his second one to Batshuayi and hilariously thanked 'his agent' - see below.

Unfortunately, Batshuayi was busy preparing for a friendly played behind closed doors against Fulham to respond straight away but keep your eyes peeled.

Although Bakayoko is now officially a Chelsea player, fans may have to wait a little while before he can make his debut as the former Monaco ace is still recovering from a knee injury picked up towards the end of last season.
