Arsenal fans are understandably excited for the new season following the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette. They finally have a top European striker at the peak of his powers; a prolific centre-forward who scored 37 goals in 45 appearances for Lyon last season.Lacazette cost Arsenal a club-record £52.7 million, per the Guardian, and marked his first appearance for the Gunners with a goal in a 2-0 win over Sydney last Thursday. The 26-year-old also played in his new side’s 3-1 win over Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday but, despite playing for 67 minutes, failed to get himself on the scoresheet.Arsenal fans will be hoping to see Lacazette bang in a few more goals before the competitive action gets underway next month.Arsene Wenger’s side take on Bayern Munich on Wednesday and play three more friendlies - against Chelsea, Benfica and Sevilla - before the Community Shield against Chelsea on August 6.Five days later and Arsenal take part in the opening Premier League match of the season against Leicester City at the Emirates Stadium.
