European clubs are spending outrageous amounts of money this summer but it's worth noting that there are some bargains to be had too.

There are countless free agents looking for a new club following the expiration of their contracts.

Some of the names on our list are undoubtedly world class.

Wesley Sneijder

Turkish giants Galatasaray terminated the contract of the 33-year-old Dutchman over the summer. Formerly of Real Madrid and Inter Milan, the set piece specialist can be snapped up for nothing right now and could finally be set for a move to the Premier League.

Jesus Navas

The Spanish winger was released by Manchester City and is yet to find a new club despite making 24 Premier League appearances last season. Blessed with incredible pace, Navas could certainly thrive if he was given more regular first team opportunities.

Jean-Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting

Choupo-Moting's contract at Schalke expired recently and the Cameroon international is on the hunt for a new employer. Known for his excellent work rate and powerful dribbling, the 28-year-old attacker has been playing regular Bundesliga football since he was a teenager.

Joe Ledley

The Welshman was a star at Euro 2016 but struggled to cement his place as a first team regular at Crystal Palace last season. The hard-tackling central midfielder still has much to offer at the age of 30 and will surely remain unattached for only a brief period of time.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic

The veteran Manchester United striker suffered a serious double knee injury in April but last season proved that he still has plenty to offer at the very top level. Aged 35, Ibrahimovic is reportedly making good progress on his recovery and reports are suggesting that he'll be offered a new contract at Old Trafford.

Rachid Ghezzal

The ex Lyon winger came through the club's academy and made a name for himself in the first team before being released this summer. At 25, the Algerian international will be expecting plenty of offers before the 2017/18 season kicks off.

Holger Badstuber

The former Bayern Munich central defender has struggled with injury problems in recent years but still has all the attributes to be considered one of the best centre halves around. He proved that he can remain fit on loan at Schalke but needs a club to take a chance on him by offering him a full time contract. The 28-year-old was a regular for Bayern and German between 2009-2012 and is equipped with everything a central defender needs. The only question mark, admittedly a big one, remains over his fitness.

Volkan Sen

Sen made 26 Turkish Super Lig appearances for Fenerbahce this year but was not rewarded with a contract extension. The 30-year-old can play on either wing and was heavily linked with a move to Crystal Palace earlier this summer.
