Who can forget Robinho’s embarrassing error after signing for Manchester City? After completing a £32.5 million transfer, Robinho was officially unveiled as a City player in a press conference. But the Citizens weren’t the only club that tried bringing Robinho to England. Chelsea were very keen on the forward but were pipped by Sheikh Mansour’s money. But someone failed to tell Robinho that City had won the race.In his unveiling, Robinho revealed his joy at joining Chelsea - only to be corrected by journalists informing him that he had actually joined Man City.

How embarrassing.

So, why are we talking about this incident from 2008?

Well, something very similar has just happened.

Lucas Biglia completed a £15 million move from Lazio to Serie A rivals AC Milan this weekend.

In a bid to impress his new fans, Biglia decided he would sign a few autographs and pose for some selfies outside the training ground.

But he made a terrible mistake when one supporter asked him: "Can you say something for the fans?”

Satisfactory answers to that question include:

“I’m happy to have signed for Milan.”

“I look forward to a successful season with Milan.”

“I can’t wait for the new season playing for Milan.”

However, “Forza, Lazio” certainly isn’t a satisfactory answer.

However, rather incredibly, that’s what came out of Biglia’s mouth.

You may not be able to understand Italian but just look at Biglia’s face when he realises what he’s just said.

The Milan fans that had gathered around his car weren’t going to let him get away with it so easily. One fired back "this is not a good start" as Biglia looked around sheepishly.

To be fair to the 31-year-old midfielder, Biglia has played for Lazio since 2013, making 127 appearances.

He surely should have remembered he’s just secured a massive move to Milan, though, especially considering he was wearing a club polo when he made his big mistake.
