Ever wondered what is like to be backstage at a major boxing press conference? Wonder no more.
Zac Alsop, a YouTuber, has shown fans around the world what it is like to be backstage, not just a regular boxing match, but perhaps the biggest boxing match ever - Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather.
Alsop released a video showing his adventure at the SSE Arena in London, as makes his way to the backstage of the McGregor vs Mayweather press conference, which he narrates very comically.
The video starts off with Alsop showing viewers just how simple it is for him to forge guest and promoter passes for the event, and he easy it is for him to do behind a laptop with a laminator in the comfort of his own home.
The video shows how he makes his way slowly through all different levels of authorisation, and how he sees UFC President Dana White on multiple occasions. He is able to latch on to many different bodyguards, promoters and camera crews throughout the video resulting in him getting up close and personal with McGregor, being within a metre of the Irish fighter.
Alsop is able to see a glimpse of what McGregor is like out of the public spotlight. Seemingly McGregor is the same, the video shows him react aggressively to being called 'former' UFC featherweight champion in typical McGregor fashion.
Perhaps the worrying issue this video raises is just how simple it was for Zac Alsop to get into the event, and get so close to Conor McGregor.
At the same time, the stupidity of Floyd Mayweather's driver who posts pictures of his tickets on Instagram shows that this is probably just a one-off. Officials who work with athletes who post things on social media should be more careful, and consider the consequences of their actions.
