Tony Bellew, still getting used to his new found superstardom after his unexpected victory over David Haye, has revealed his thoughts in the lead-up to that life changing night.

David Haye had done all the talking in the build up, and the general consensus was the that the Londoner would make light work of the Merseysider, and Bellew has revealed that some of Haye's threats did have him concerned.

The Liverpudlian revealed that after Haye suggested that Bellew would end the night in hospital, he sent his family away on holiday and even went as far as to write a will ahead of the bout.

In a recent interview, Bellew stated that he was willing to go 'all the way' to beat Haye and that is why he went to such extremes before taking to the ring with the Londoner.

When questioned on his thoughts in the dressing room, just minutes before what would turn out to be the greatest night of his life, Bellew said: "How far I’m willing to go. I’ll go all the way, I can’t give in. I’m never, ever going to back down, no matter how hard it gets, no matter how painful it gets, I’m never going to back down.

"It’s frightening, I’m not going to lie," he added.

"I frighten myself because I never know when I'm going to be called upon to go as far as I say I’ll go."

Such comments just go to show that the fight meant just that much more to Bellew, who pocketed £2.8 million after his victory.

Bellew was quite clearly ready to give it all, and perhaps in the end, he was more concerned about himself and his desire to win, than he was about David Haye.

So what is next for the Liverpudlian?

Well, he's not interested in retiring just yet, or that's what it seems anyway, so there could be a future fight with the likes of Deontay Wilder, Joseph Parker, Tyson Fury, or even a rematch with Haye.

Of course, there is also the interest in Andre Ward, which is also a possibility for Bellew.
