Former WWE Champion CM Punk has answered a question that is on everyone’s mind.

CM Punk, real name Phillip Brooks, was the biggest Superstar that WWE had in the last decade aside from John Cena. Keep in mind that Punk was not always WWE’s first pick as the face of the company. His rise through the ranks in the company came out of spite, to say the least.

It’s well known as it has been reported and documented that WWE wanted to fire him while he was in the company’s developmental brand at the time, Ohio Valley Wrestling, which was booked by former ECW owner Paul Heyman.

Even though the company wanted to get rid of him, Heyman denied their request and later called him up to the main roster when WWE relaunched the ECW brand.

Punk’s career took off, and he would later hold several championships including the WWE Title. However, after dealing with injuries and not wanting to wrestle anymore, Punk decided to walk out of the company on the Monday following the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event in 2014.

With his pro wrestling career over with, for the time being, he put his sights on his next goal, which would be to an MMA (mixed martial arts) fighter in the UFC.

However, he did not have a great debut as in 2016 he went up against Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in Cleveland, Ohio. Punk got embarrassed in the fight as he was easily taken down and submitted in the first round.

The former WWE Superstar was recently asked during an appearance on ESPN Radio out of Chicago, IL if there was any part of him that misses professional wrestling. He responded by saying "Not at all," (h/t Wrestling Observer Newsletter).

He would go onto say that he feels that WWE sent lawyers and people by proxy (Dr. Chris Amann) after him because “I called them out on their BS.”

If you recall, WWE senior ringside physician Dr. Chris Amann is suing Punk as well as Colt Cabana for defamation over comments he made on Cabana's Art of Wrestling podcast in 2014.

Punk, who holds a 0-1 pro-MMA record, noted that he hasn't talked with UFC President Dana White in several months about his second fight under the promotion’s banner. According to Punk, he'll know what is next for him in another month or two.

He has a big name and will draw viewers, which is the incentive for the promotion to book him in another fight despite his performance in his debut bout.
