It seems like everyone is talking about Jason Jordan being revealed as Kurt Angle’s son.Chad Gable and Daniel Bryan are included in that group of people. Gable has been tag team partners with Jordan since January of 2015 when WWE had the two Superstars do segments together which saw Gable try to convince Jordan to be his tag team partner.

After weeks of refusal, Jordan finally gave in and agreed to be his partner. Thus, American Alpha was born.

They tore through the NXT tag team division and went onto have a lengthy run as NXT Tag Team Champions. They were over with the crowd due to their charisma and in-ring work. While in NXT, they were a hot act with the WWE Universe.

Fast forward to the WWE Draft last July when they were called up to the main roster and made their debut in August. They had some success while on the main roster as they would later win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Unfortunately, they lost the titles to The Usos.

However, WWE slowly but surely stopped using them on television, and over the last few weeks, Gable started working single matches against some of the top stars on the blue brand with Jordan nowhere to be seen.

There was a reason for this booking decision, which was that Raw General Manager and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle revealed on this week’s episode of Monday Night Raw that Jordan was his illegitimate son. Now, Jordan is on the Raw brand and Gable is left to be on his own on SmackDown Live.

Following the segment, Gable took to his official Twitter account to react to the news. Even though he most likely knew about the storyline ahead of time, Gable played up the news well. After he sent out his tweet, the SmackDown General Manager responded to Gable's tweet by writing:

“Don't worry, son, you'll find out who your REAL father is next week on #SmackdownLive... oh wait, did I give it away by calling you, son?”

It will be interesting to see how WWE uses Gable as a singles star. Hopefully, they will keep in the mid-card position as he is a heck of a performer in the ring and entertaining on the microphone.
