The Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor world tour was an event unlike anything ever seen before.

You had McGregor’s expletive-covered pinstripe suit on day one in Los Angeles. Mayweather making it rain over the Irishman in New York on day three. Then in London, even the American had to laugh when McGregor touched his head.

There were controversial moments that only add to the notion that Mayweather and McGregor’s superfight on August 26 is simply an inflated circus act, with two fighters showing absolutely zero respect or grace.

But did you really expect anything else?

One thing that was made clear by the four-leg tour was the huge amount of support for McGregor.

While Mayweather was booed throughout, the crowd lapped upped McGregor’s antics. He really had the crowd in the palm of his hands, leading a “F*** the Mayweathers” chant in Toronto.

Mayweather's car was surrounded

To realise the extent of the support for the UFC star, you only need to watch what happened outside the event in London.

As Mayweather tried to leave the SSE Arena, McGregor supporters swarmed around his Rolls Royce, even blocking the road.

Security tried their hardest to calm the situation but one of the guards was knocked down.

Crazy stuff.

Mayweather: 'You can't fight for him!'

When the London fans began to chant for McGregor, Mayweather pointed out a very obvious fact.

“Give him some more chants, you nursery rhymes. You can’t fight for him!,” the 40-year-old said.

McGregor: 'I smoked him on all four rounds'

Mayweather tried to give as good as he got but McGregor believes he won the four-day war of words.

"The tour became a verbal battle that people were scoring and I didn't anticipate it being so back and forth," McGregor said, per the Independent.

"If we are going to score it then f*** it, let's do that - I smoked him on all four rounds.

"LA was a 10-9, my suit went viral, Toronto was a wipeout 10-7 because he was dropped twice.

"I won New York and then here I smoked him again. For a 40-year-old man he has his childish ways and that's amusing. This is a ruthless business and I am ruthless."

The true battle, though, will come on August 26. And McGregor knows won’t be able to rely on the crowd to do the work for him.
