Ever since arriving in WWE at Money in the Bank, Mike and Maria Kanellis have played an interesting role on Smackdown.

The pair have cut several promos in which they have promoted the power of Love and they have also had several run ins with one certain superstar.

Finally made it to the ring

Fan favourite Sami Zayn has been a thorn in the side of the duo as he continually disrupts their segments on Smackdown Live.

It began several weeks ago where the two were on the stage discussing their 'unique' love and Zayn interrupted as he had a match to compete in.

The next week, a backstage segment would cause further friction between the First Lady of WWE, her husband and Zayn.

Then last week, Mike Kanellis was challenged to match by Zayn when he questioned his role in WWE.

Kanellis and Zayn finally had their one on one match with Kanellis sporting some interesting ring attire.

The Smackdown debutante would pick up the win but not without the help of his wife Maria who interjected herself in the match.

Zayn was gearing up to deliver the helluva kick to Kanellis when Maria stepped into the ring and stood in front of her husband.

The official pleaded with her to move and Zayn attempted to get past her but simply wasn't able to.

Eventually, the First Lady would exit the ring, but not before she caused enough of a distraction to allow her husband to deliver a cheap shot to Zayn and go on to pick up the win.

After the match, the two were interviewed backstage and asked if they were OK winning using what many may call, dirty tactics.

Appearing to be more than OK with it, the Kanellis couple would once again stress that it was the Power of Love which saw them to victory.

It seems unlikely that this feud will end with Kanellis picking up one win over Zayn and the underdog from the Underground will surely respond.

With Battleground set to take place this Sunday, it will be interesting to see the if the three superstars appear on the show or not.
