Charlotte Flair has stepped out of her father’s spotlight while in WWE.

Flair, who joined WWE back in 2012, has found success in both NXT and on the main roster. She has held the NXT Women’s, Divas, and Raw Women’s Championships. Now, that she is on SmackDown Live, she is looking to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.

Flair spoke with APP.com's Fan Theory podcast (h/t Bill Pritchard via Wrestlezone.com) ahead of the upcoming WWE live event from Wildwood, NJ.

During the interview, she was asked about the upcoming Mae Young Classic, which was taped last week in Winter Park, Florida at Full Sail University and will air on the WWE Network next month.

The finals will air live in September at a SmackDown live event. This is a 32-women tournament.

"I think it’s a great opportunity for people to learn about Mae Young and her history and her influence on the world of women’s wrestling. I also think it’s a huge opportunity to highlight women from all over the world. There are so many different characters people see, so many styles and just the fact that we are dedicating a tournament to women is huge.”

“I don’t think that’s ever been done in the history of WWE, or it has, but not in this capacity as far as numbers and talents. It makes me want to up my game even more, like ‘Ooh, new girls?’, I gotta keep my throne."

Even though she has been very successful while in the company for a short amount of time, she still has goals. She revealed what her next goal is.

"My goal is to be crown the first-ever Triple Crown winner. I have won the Divas Championship, I was the last ever Divas Champion, I won the RAW Women’s Championship, now I need to add the SmackDown Women’s Championship. I was also the NXT Women’s Champion, so right now that is my first and foremost goal."

It seems that Flair has wrestled every Superstar in the women’s division in WWE and NXT. However, there are two names that have evaded her. Those names are NXT Women’s Champion Asuka and Stephanie McMahon.

"Asuka, I want to dethrone her, I think everyone on the main roster I’m looking forward to being in a different role. My comfort level is being a heel, so I can now focus on being the best babyface ever.”

“That is a challenge I am l looking at taking straight on, but one of my dream matches would be Stephanie McMahon, “Queen vs. Queen."
