The mysteries surrounding Brock Lesnar's future with the WWE continue to unfold day by day.

"The Beast" is currently reigning as the WWE's Universal Champion on Monday Night RAW. He is currently expected to defend his strap against either Roman Reigns or Samoa Joe, both men who he has competed against before. Lesnar won the Universal Championship off former WCW World Heavyweight Champ Goldberg at WrestleMania 33 this past April.

Lesnar has made quite the name for himself over the years, as he became the first man to defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania and has established himself, unquestionably, as the most dominant WWE Superstar on the roster today.

While balancing his professional wrestling career inside the squared circle, Lesnar made a return to mixed martial arts (MMA) competition last year at the UFC 200 event. He took on Samoan knockout artist Mark Hunt in the co-main event of the evening. Lesnar won that contest via unanimous decision, however, there was controversy surrounding that win.

It was revealed that Lesnar tested positive for a banned substance after being flagged by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA). After being suspended from MMA competition for a year, Lesnar announced his retirement from fighting.

Now, rumors have begun to pick up that "The Beast" is getting the Octagon itch once again, as it was reported that he and Paul Heyman were spotted at UFC headquarters earlier this year. It was also reported that Lesnar had re-entered the USADA testing pool, however, UFC Vice President of Athlete Health and Performance, Jeff Novitzky, has since denied those claims.

Furthermore, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Lesnar's contract with WWE expires in April of 2018 and it holds a renewal option. If neither side informs the other that they will be ending their agreement, it automatically renews itself. "The Beast" has reportedly not made a decision on his future just yet.

If the rumors are true that Lesnar would like to resume his career inside the Octagon, it shouldn't be ma problem for him to balance both WWE and MMA at the same time, seeing as both parties have worked together before when Lesnar competed on UFC 200.
