The recent storyline between Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan has been an interesting one to say the least.

Angle returned to the WWE this past April when he was inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame as a member of the 2017 class. He was then named the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW by "The Chairman Of The Board" Vince McMahon to replace Mick Foley. Foley was written off WWE TV because he was in need of a major surgery to fix a lingering injury. As a result, he was fired from his position in his storyline with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

The first few weeks of Angle as GM went rather smoothly, seeing him have some hilarious segments with the likes of Enzo Amore as well as putting together some great matches for the show.

It wasn't until RAW commentator Corey Graves approached Angle with some secret messages he had been receiving, which played out into a blackmailing type of program. For weeks the WWE Universe was left wondering what it was that had Angle so shaken. It wasn't until this past Monday night when Angle revealed his secret to the world.

The former Olympic Gold Medalist claimed to have had a relationship with a young lady during his college days and she gave birth to their baby boy nine months after their last date. Angle was unaware of the pregnancy and the boy was adopted by a good family who taught him 'strong American values.'

It was revealed that his long-lost son was none other than former SmackDown Live Tag Team Champion, and one half of the American Alpha tag team, Jason Jordan. Angle not only introduced Jordan as his son, but as the newest member of the RAW brand, meaning he and Chad Gable's American Alpha run has come to an end.

Per a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jordan himself didn't find out he would be involved in the storyline until last week. The developments make sense, however, as American Alpha was rarely being used on Tuesday nights anyway.

It was also speculated that the selection of Jordan (who is an African American) was a rib on Angle's past of having dated African American women. Almost a decade ago, Angle had a storyline in which he stalked Booker T's wife, Sharmell Sullivan.
