A former Raw Women’s Champion recently praised two NXT talents.

Sasha Banks started her time in WWE while in NXT in 2012. She had some classic matches and feuds with the rest of the Superstars in the women’s division. Banks alongside Paige, Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Bayley truly started the women’s revolution before they were called up to the main roster in 2015.

They were different and changed the way that not only fans but WWE officials looked at the women in the company. They could put on as good of matches as the guys could, which was the complete opposite of what the women before them did.

It was all about how they looked and dressed. They were called Divas instead of Superstars.

Once Triple H and other NXT officials gave these women the opportunity, they took the ball and ran with it. They put the division into the spotlight and got over with the WWE Universe.

Banks and Flair were the first two women to main event a WWE PPV (pay-per-view) event as well as compete in the first-ever women’s Hell in a Cell match. History has been made thanks in large part to Banks.

The Boss still has ties to NXT and keeps a close eye on their product. During a recent interview with News.com.au, she was asked about Peyton Royce and Billie Kay's potential in the company. Banks took the question and gave an honest answer. She believes that they are the future of the division.

"I think they are the future. They are incredible and have such passion for this business and I love watching them. They are amazing and Peyton Royce reminds me a lot of myself. Her favorite wrestler is Eddie Guerrero too and I love watching her. She's incredible, incredible, incredible in the ring and I can't wait for her to get called up to the main roster."

Both Kay, who has been wrestling since 2007, and Royce, who has been wrestling since 2009, signed with WWE in 2015. What’s cool about their story is that they attended the same high school together. It just made sense due to their history and chemistry for WWE to book them as a tag team.
