WrestleMania is always a time where many legends of the past step inside the ring for another match, but that might not be happening for The Rock for a while.There was a time when The Great One was involved in one of the most hyped WrestleMania feuds in WWE history against John Cena, with the two exchanging victories over WrestleMania 28 and 29. Since then though, he hasn't been seen in the WWE a lot.Sure he had a match at WrestleMania 32 against Erick Rowan, but that wasn't really a real match. He's made appearances at The Showcase of the Immortals too, but The Rock hasn't had a proper feud to build up to a match in years.

Recently, the hype around a return to the WWE for The Rock was increased when a fan tweeted out that The People's Champion vs Seth Rollins was a match that they wanted to see at WrestleMania.
Rollins responded to the tweet: “I mean Mania is only like 8 months away…,” which sent fans into a frenzy as they believed we could be seeing The Rock wrestle at WrestleMania 34 next year.
No doubt fans would love to see The Rock wrestle again at WrestleMania 34, but is there a realistic chance of it happening? According to Wrestling Observer Radio, fans shouldn't be getting their hopes up.
Via IWNerd, during the mailbag portion of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer was asked about The Rock’s status for the event. Meltzer didn't rule out The Great One appearing in New Orleans in 2018, but he believes him wrestling at the event is a long-shot.
The reasons why he doesn't think it will happen is down to the safety reasons. Being one of the most in-demand actors in the world right now with multiple projects on the go at one time means if The Rock was to get hurt while wrestling at WrestleMania, it could grind the films that he is working on to a halt.
During his last major feud with Cena at WrestleMania 29, The Rock reportedly picked up a legitimate injury on the show, which caused a setback in the movie he was filming at the time, Hercules.
Now that he is one of the biggest movie stars in the world, it is unlikely that he or the people behind the movie which he is working on would allow him to take part in a WrestleMania match due to the injury risks behind it.
Fans will be keeping their fingers crossed that they see The Rock wrestle at WrestleMania again one day, but for the time being, the best they can hope for is that he makes an appearance on the show.
