Conor McGregor has uploaded a photo of him sparring with Paulie Malignaggi - with his hands behind his back. The Irishman is set to fight boxer Floyd Mayweather on August 26th, and the confidence he showed on the bout's press tour has seemingly made its way to his training. Malignaggi was invited to McGregor's training camp last month, with the MMA fighter wanting a proper sparring partner.Malignaggi, a retired two-weight World Champion, jumped at the chance to be a part of a training camp, flying out to Las Vegas where McGregor is based."I wouldn't say I'm going there to train him but I might be able to give him some technical titbits," said the American, as per The Mirror."I think Conor has a very capable training team, he has a team that understands him inside and outside the Octagon. I'll be going there to spar and if I see anything then of course I'll share my views."In a series of pictures uploaded to Instagram, McGregor showed off his latest training updates - featuring a £240 pair of Gucci shorts.
The multi-weight UFC Champion also posted one photo of his arms behind his back as he sparred with a very tired looking Malignaggi.
McGregor has never boxed professionally, but seemed to be more than holding his own in the ring, captioning the photo: "They say I've got no hands", in reference to his lack of boxing experience.
His fans ate it up, loving the arrogance that McGregor has continued to display since the fight was announced.
Here are the best tweets:
He has denounced Mayweather's claims that he will knock out the Irishman as ridiculous, claimed that he will knock him out himself within four rounds, and regularly insulted the multi-time undefeated former World Champion throughout a press world tour.
Not long until the world finds out if the confidence is warranted.
