It's all gone a bit quiet on the transfer front for Arsenal following the club-record signing of Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon. While Monaco's Thomas Lemar continues to be linked with the Gunners, Arsene Wenger appears to be no closer to signing the Frenchman due to his price tag.Sixty million pounds is what Monaco are reportedly demanding, despite making him available for just £30 million last month. In typical Wenger fashion, the Arsenal manager made a low opening bid for Lemar in June, to which Monaco responded by doubling his value.Elsewhere, Ross Barkley has emerged as an unlikely target given he wants to leave Everton and has just 12 months remaining on his current.Everton want £50 million for the Englishman, which Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham are all unwilling to meet, and so they're prepared to wait until later this summer to make a move.Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez is still on Wenger's radar, too, but just like Lemar and Barkley, the Algerian's £50 million valuation is proving a sticking point.Just over three weeks remain until the start of the 2017/18 Premier League season and it's expected Arsenal will complete one or two more deals before that time. They have until the end of August to make further signings, of course, but Wenger won't want to leave it until the last minute like previous years. However, according to Sky Sports (see below for tweets), the Frenchman has the opportunity to sign a Barcelona player this summer if he so pleased. They claim that Barcelona have somewhat randomly offered Thiago Alcantara's brother, Rafinha, to Arsenal.Rafinha has three years remaining on his contract at the Camp Nou but, for one reason or another, the Brazilian is available to Arsenal if they want him.

One reason could be their interest in Hector Bellerin; by offering the Rafinha, Barca might be thinking they can still strike a deal for the Spanish right-back in the process.

If truth be told, Wenger probably won't be interested in signing Rafinha given he already has enough midfield options at his disposal.

Indeed, Granit Xhaka, Aaron Ramsey, Francis Coquelin, Jack Wilshere and Mohamed Elneny are all currently battling for places in central midfield at the Emirates Stadium.

Barcelona would also want a fee in the region of €30 million for Rafinha, which is a bit steep for someone who barely plays and is injury prone.
