Rumours of Neymar leaving Barcelona are nothing new. It's part and parcel of the summer transfer window.

However, reports that Paris Saint-Germain are ready to trigger his release clause do seem to be gathering pace.

The story originated in Brazil, via Esporte Interativo, and has since been picked up by various European sources.

A lot of fans will only believe it if and when they see the 25-year-old holding up a PSG shirt.

Unsurprisingly, Barca are doing their best to calm the storm. The club's PR team must be used to the speculation surrounding the superstar's future, but the reality is that if PSG offer the €222 million necessary, there's little the Blaugrana can do.

Spare a thought for Ernesto Valverde, who only took the job from Luis Enrique in May.

The former Athletic Bilbao boss will have a huge task on his hands to replace Neymar. It's not a decision he'll be taking lightly, but he's already identified a potential replacement.

According to Mundo Deportivo, this could finally be Barca's chance to land Paulo Dybala from Juventus.

The Argentine reportedly wanted to go there last summer, but as Neymar decided to stay put, a move never materialised.

Dybala is keen

With the 23-year-old shining at Juventus, there should be no real reason for him to quit Turin.

Yet, it's thought he has been disappointed by the departures of Leonardo Bonucci and Dani Alves, who have joined AC Milan and PSG respectively.

It should be stressed Barca are yet to make a formal bid for Dybala, but it appears he's definitely in their thoughts.

Philippe Coutinho is also firmly on their radar. Liverpool have already rejected a €80m offer for the playmaker, per the Daily Mail.

Valverde's certainly enduring a baptism of fire in his first summer in Catalonia. Not only have Barca been quiet on the signings front, they're now facing a battle to convince one of their star trio to stay.
